Delivery
Currently we are running a free shipping promotion for all orders over $500.00. This promotion does not apply to rural deliveries and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Promotion is available for a limited time.
Normal shipping charges for orders under $500.00 and in rural ares are below.
North Island (Including Dual Roller Blinds)
$17 for first blind + $5 per extra blind
South Island (Including Dual Roller Blinds)
$35 for first blind + $20 per extra blind
Rural delivery (Including Dual Roller Blinds)
Surcharge: $35.00
If there is unfortunate mishap whilst your blinds are in transit often you will see damage to the packaging when you receive it, please make sure that this is noted when you sign for the products.
Then notify us within 24 hours of receiving the blinds so claim can be lodged with the freight company and we will take the necessary steps to get the damage product repaired or replaced.
If the item is delivered while you are not home, concealed damage could potentially happen therefore it is most important that you check your blinds straight away when back home, even if the box containing the product seems to be in good condition you need to unpack the blind to thoroughly check it.
If we do not receive notification within 24 hours, the claim may not be accepted.
Most courier companies require a signature when delivering goods to confirm delivery, if you are not home they may leave a card in your letterbox that you can use to arrange delivery or collection.
Often couriers or freight companies will contact you via text message to arrange an alternative delivery time, if an alternative delivery time is arranged and courier company is given authority to leave the parcel in a safe area at your home/business you must ensure to check the goods (by unpacking the boxes and assessing each item carefully) within 24 hours of delivery.
In the even there is damage to one of the items you must inform the freight company of the damage, even during the weekend. If no notification is received within 24 hours of delivery, a claim may not be accepted and repair costs would incur.
Once you place your order and we receive your payment in full, your order will take 7 working days to produce, if you have ordered Honey Comb blinds they take a little longer and we expect to produce these in approximately 15-20 days, we will then courier the products to you.
Once you order has been despatached with the freight company, the transit time can take from 3 days up to 2 weeks, depending on your location, size and quantity of the blinds ordered and with rural delivery it may be longer.
If you require your blinds more urgently, do not hesitate to contact us so we can try to accommodate your needs.
Our office and factory will be closed between 20/12/2024 11am and will reopen on Monday 06/01/2025 at 9am.
While the office is closed we will still accept new orders as well as samples requests.

Ordering
When you place an order on the website you will have the option of paying by credit card at the end or we provide you with our bank account details if you wish to make a payment by internet banking.
Its really easy, on the website there are step by step instructions on how to place the order, choose the type of product you want, type in the width and size, choose the colour and click on any accessories you want with the product, then add it to your shopping cart.
You will receive an email from us confirming we have received your order as soon as you place it. If you do not receive this something may have gone wrong when you submitted the order. If this is the case send us an email and we can check if the order has arrived.
Because we offer a quick production time there is limited time to change anything once you have placed the order.
We would advise that you double check everything before submitting the order, on the website is a measuring sheet that you can download to help with this. If you want to change something please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to help.

Measuring
We provide a measuring guide and measuring sheet on the website that you can print off and use for this purpose.
This is always a tricky one as all our products are custom made to the sizes you provide, if the product you have ordered is to big we may be able to reduce the size of it for you (costs involved), if it is to small then we will probably need to remake a new product for you.

Installation
On our website you are able to download blind installation instructions for all our products.
Yes screws will be supplied with your order. We use stainless steel square head screws, so you will need a square head driver bit for your cordless drill.
Maintenance
It is advised that you give your blinds a clean on a regular basis to avoid dirt build up. We recommend wiping down our blinds with a damp cloth, and with fabric products, (Roller blinds and Vertical blinds) you can use mild detergent.
With wooden venetian blinds we advise not to use to much water as this may adversely affect the timber slats.
Samples
Of course you can, just complete our samples request form and we will be more than happy to send you out a sample of our fabrics, wooden blind slat or aluminium slat.
Please note our samples are sent to you via standard post so it is important you allow up to 7 working days for NZ Post to deliver the mail to you.
The address for the samples to be sent to must have a letter box or delivery point as samples are not sent by Courier. If a commercial property ensure the business receives standard mail and not only couriers.
Products
Yes all our blinds (except Honeycomb blinds) are made in New Zealand, unlike some other companies who buy their product from wholesalers, we are in control of the manufacturing process from start to finish.
Our Honeycomb Blinds are manufactured overseas, we have regular shipments that are sent directly to us, then we send your order to you.

Honeycomb Blinds come with a 1 year warranty and Roller blinds motors with a 2 years warranty, if anything goes wrong with the blind within these time frames we will repair it or replace it.
Order placed with us prior to the 01/06/2023 – The Blind Store offers an unconditional warranty for 3 years from the date of purchase for Roller Blinds, Venetian Blinds and Vertical Blinds and 1 year warranty for Honeycomb Blinds, if anything goes wrong with the blind within these time frames we will repair it or replace it.
