Honeycomb Blinds

Honeycomb blinds are an excellent choice for New Zealand homes, combining modern style, privacy and thermal insulation in one practical window covering. Also known as cellular blinds, their distinctive honeycomb-shaped cells trap air within the fabric, helping reduce heat transfer through your windows.

At The Blind Store, our made-to-measure honeycomb blinds are available in translucent and blockout fabrics, allowing you to choose the right balance of natural light, privacy and comfort for your home.

Thermal Honeycomb Blinds for Year-Round Comfort

Windows can be a significant source of heat loss during winter and unwanted heat gain during summer. The cellular structure of honeycomb blinds creates insulating air pockets that help reduce heat transfer at the window.

This makes thermal honeycomb blinds a practical option for bedrooms, living rooms and other spaces where maintaining a comfortable indoor temperature is important.

Honeycomb blinds can also help soften outside noise, making them a useful choice for busy households and rooms where comfort and privacy matter.

Translucent or Blockout Honeycomb Blinds?

Choosing the right fabric depends on how much natural light and privacy you want in each room.

Translucent Honeycomb Blinds

Our Translucent Honeycomb Blinds gently filter natural daylight, creating a soft and welcoming atmosphere while providing privacy.

They are ideal for living areas, dining rooms, home offices and other spaces where you want natural light without harsh glare. Their cellular construction also provides insulating benefits.

Blockout Honeycomb Blinds

Our Blockout Honeycomb Blinds feature an internal foil lining within the cells to prevent light passing through the fabric while providing additional thermal insulation.

They are particularly suitable for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms where greater room darkening and privacy are important. As with other inside-mounted blinds, some light may still enter around the edges.
